I am not really sure why but I really like these slip-ons. They are cute and creative.

I like the classic one like the one above because of the cool color. Like who would think to put lime, brown and pink together. My favorite are the next two though…

I love magazines, especially any magazine that recommends cool looking but not so pricey items. I used to hate ads. I would be the “why do the ads take up half the magazine” person (even though I knew why the ads took up half the mag). Lately, I have noticed that I am buying magazines because of the ads alone. I don’t know how this change occurred but now I am fascinated with ads, specifically high-end designer ads. How can one picture define a company so well? More specifically, how can a picture project such strong feelings of desire in an individual? I’ve always felt before that this could only occur with video advertisements, but I guess I was wrong.

This first occurred when I was walking on the upper west side of the city. There is a huge Burberry ads featuring none other than Emma Watson. I’ve always seen her in a different light because of the films but the ads were different. She seems bigger, cultured and elite. Most of all, she has grown from the child we’ve all seen to this independent woman. It wasn’t as if I didn’t see her in a positive light before but she seemed to be a child, bright but still a child.

Since then, I’ve looked at ads a little (or rather, much) differently. The truth of the matter is that I don’t know a thing about Emma Watson personally but that was what I got. Here are some of the ads:

People may think this is funny but I was watching the Tudors and there was this sense when King Henry VIII is hugging his second wife, Anne Boleyn, as if he loved her yet he is cheating on her. They both know it.

Which leads me to the question…Who can you really trust?

I mean, I know this is a show on Showtime and has been made into a drama but according to history, King Henry was indeed with Anne Boleyn and their union ended when he had her beheaded [of course, I didn't see that episode yet sooo...]. Even though Henry is a conceited prick and Anne Boleyn was greedy bitch, it could still happen to any one of us normal people.

Think about it. You never know what anyone is thinking but yourself. So when another person makes a promise to you and they’re your significant other or someone you trust, how can you believe them? i just thought of an episode of Lincoln Heights I was watching [don't hate...appreciate!] where Charles loves Cassie enough to give her a car with the Chinese symbol of faith on it [hence he LOVES her]. But Cassie goes and gets a job where she is hugging and dancing with her boss [Seriously, what boyfriend would tolerate this?
Better yet, what GIRLFRIEND would tolerate THIS???]. When Charles comes in anger, she naively pushes him away!!!

I mean, isn’t that nice? You LOVE someone and they just slap you in the face, regardless of all the support you’ve given them. I haven’t seen an episode since but they probably got back together. Why do we deal with shit like that? I mean it would leave us all alone and horny but its the truth isn’t it?

I guess it doesn’t really matter now, does it? We need each other [don't forget hormones!]

Why do we always do things that we would be ashamed of?

Today I sat on the train and this boy was really tired. I mean he was so sleepy, he was ready to topple over. I couldn’t believe it actually. The boy needed to sit down and it was so clear. I know if i was that tired, I would want someone to get up. So I ask the boy if he wanted to sit. He said he didn’t need to but he sat anyways. It was the right thing to do.

But then I thought to myself….Why did it take so long for me to do it? I mean logically, if someone needs something way more than you do, don’t you give it to them if it would be good for them? I apparently became stupid on that ride and it took me a couple of minutes to say to myself, “COME ON, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!!”

What really kills me more is the fact that no one else got up before me. Not to say that I had a problem getting up..thats not my point. My point really is that no one else seems to have the internal dilemma that I was having. It could be that they just didn’t give a shit. The funny part is when I got up and the boy tried to politely resist, people were like “yeah yeah you need it.” I don’t know about you but I thought that was friggin odd.

I guess what I am trying to say is why are so many of us so apathetic?

When I ask this, I am not excluding myself because fact of the matter is I don’t think I did it because I cared. I didn’t it because it made sense. What’s wrong with everything.

You know what I really fucking hate?

I hate when you know that you know someone and that person knows that they know you…….

Then when you see them somewhere, they pretend they don’t see you. Even better is when they look straight at you and don’t even fucking say anything like they don’t even know you. Then when they need someone, you are their best friend ever….

I don’t know if it is just me but why the fuck would someone do that?

First thing I think is probably they don’t like. Probably they think that I am a total asshole and would rather die than talk to me. But then why would they come to you after? Why would they be nice to you?

So I think myself I am beneath them and so far I’ve stopped there. I guess that’s the answer than isn’t it?

Thank you world for people who think that your beneath them. The best part of the whole situation is that nice people do this too. I’ve seen the nicest or seemingly nice people do it.

I must admit I’ve done it. I don’t really know why. I’ve felt unusually guilty about it. I’ve even apologized a couple times.

No one else seems to do that though.

Why do people do stupid shit like this? We cause so many ways to fuck up someone’s day.

We might as well wear a sign like this guy to make ourselves feel better.
